Schedule
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call
- No block scheduling
Contract
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Trauma experience
- Experience with Cerner
Clinical Experience
- ICU experience in medical, surgical, trauma, and neuro settings is preferred/required as stated in the source
- Experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABGs, dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKGs, cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV insulin protocols, stroke/CVA care, central lines/PICCs/arterial lines, ports, blood products, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions is listed
Unit Details
- 26-bed ICU
- Trauma, stroke, neuro elective procedures, and general medical ICU
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2-3
Floating
- May float to step-down/PCU and other critical care areas
- First to float between the Atlantic City and Mainland campuses
Additional Notes
- Cerner/PowerChart charting required
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Orientation is 6 days, with a required return the following Monday for Day 6
- Missed shifts may need to be made up during the same week or at the end of the assignment
