PCU RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Mount Vernon, Ohio
• 13 weeks
• Night shift, 3x12 hours: 19:00–7:00
• 36 hours per week
• PCU nights; will work some ICU
• Limited holiday RTO only; only 1 day can be requested surrounding 1 holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• NURSYS verification
• State license primary source verification
• 2 recent references within a year of start
• 2 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and in a similar area to the assignment
• Unit-specific skills checklist
• Unit-specific competency exam
• Basic dysrhythmia exam

Preferred

• BSN
• PALS
• TNCC
• CHEMO certification is not required for Oncology, and OCN is preferred
• STABLE for LDRP
• ACLS for LDRP
• PALS for ICU
• TNCC for ER

Other Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried on person during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Tdap documentation
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/documentation
• 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months
• 2 clinical references
• HealthStream modules must be completed on time
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Medication management acknowledgements for RNs
