Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
- Pediatric critical care float pool
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Locals accepted at the same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Critical Care Float (1 year of experience)
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule
- 36 hours per week
Compliance / Onboarding
- Government-issued photo ID
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Background check covering all counties lived or worked in for the past 7 years, including statewide Missouri and Kansas searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Missouri Highway Patrol check
- Parking permit request completed before start
- Health form
- TB questionnaire
- Time-sensitive form submitted within 24–48 hours of signing
- Medication review packet
- OSHA medical evaluation questionnaire
- Initial physical exam
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
- Negative TB screening or chest x-ray
- TB questionnaire updated annually
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B documentation, titer, or declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days before start
- Current season flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption
- 2 supervisory references or performance evaluations verified within 1 year of start
- Complete application/resume
- Pediatric skills checklist when applicable
- Internal evaluation if the candidate has worked with the agency for over 2 years
Additional Notes
- Pediatric competency and pediatric pharmacology testing are required as applicable
- Color blindness testing is required for all clinical candidates except non-clinical
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement is required
- Pass/fail testing is required for RNs
- NURSYS verification is required for RNs
