Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Vascular OR experience to work 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), Monday through Friday (36 hours/week). On-call required with approximately 6-8 calls per month, including weekends. Holiday call may be required. Floating to similar units may be necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ability to scrub and circulate complex open and endovascular cases
Required Licenses and Certifications
- South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be active and in hand at the start of the contract.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA certified.
- Radiation badge required (provided by agency).
Work Environment and Additional Requirements
- Float to like units as needed.
- On-call shifts and holiday call may be required.
- Facility may call off traveler for 1 shift per 2 weeks (pay period).
- Must complete a radiation exposure attestation prior to start.
- Must be able to scrub and circulate complex vascular procedures.
Common Procedures
- Endovascular procedures including TEVAR, FEVAR, EVAR, AAA repair, thrombectomy, amputations, carotid procedures, AV fistulas, and more.

Important Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references required.
- Complete employment application including all PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps.
- Background checks including criminal, sex offender registry, and employment verification for the last 7 years.
- Education verification and diploma/transcripts preferred.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually.
- Annual physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands.
- Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccines)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or chest x-ray if previously positive. Annual TB questionnaire required.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug 1 - Apr 30).
- COVID vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated.
Orientation and Onboarding
- Completion of orientation modules prior to start is mandatory.
- Clear, passport-style photo required for badge.
- Radiation badge process may take 5-7 days; candidates cannot start clinical work without it.
- All required documents and certifications must be current and uploaded prior to start.
Notes
- Hurricane season (June-November) may require assignment to emergency response teams.
- Local radius rule: 60 miles. Local candidates may be considered case-by-case.
