Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location

• Kerrville, Texas (approximately 1 hour outside San Antonio)

Employment Type

• Travel/Contract

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days a week (8 hours per day, 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM)
• Weekend coverage every 3rd weekend (1-2 weekend shifts per contract depending on vacation and call-in)
• Call rotation includes full week coverage Monday-Friday 4:00 PM to 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday, once every three weeks
• Occasional weekend stress tests; techs collaborate to trade call as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Required Certifications:

  • ARRT Nuclear Medicine (ARRT N)
  • Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certificate (TX MRT)
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Must pass a 7-year background check including Social Security trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, and education verification
• Annual verification of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions
• Primary source verification of state license
• 2 professional references within the last 3 years

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (time sensitive, must be current)
• Required vaccinations or documented declinations for:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu (or declination during flu season)
  • COVID-19 (or declination)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable)
• Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual

Additional Requirements

• Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exams with a minimum score of 80% as applicable
• Annual skills checklist
• Compliance with facility-specific health requirements and documentation

• No new travelers accepted for this position
• Manager interview required upon submission
