Job info

Prepare thin slices of tissue on slides for analysis by examining, fixing, and processing tissue; embedding in paraffin wax; cutting samples with a microtome or cryostat; mounting samples on slides; and staining or dying samples to emphasize abnormalities
Recognize factors that affect procedures and quality results and take corrective action when needed
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and instruments
Manage supplies and laboratory quality-control procedures as needed
