Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab - Travel Assignment

Location: Passaic, New Jersey
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
• Continuously assess and record patient condition while in the Cath Lab.
• Communicate patient status with physicians as needed.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and procedure room readiness.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Certification in DCI/BVP (Drug Cardiac Interventional/Basic Venipuncture Procedures)
• Experience in an acute care setting
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
• Valid driver's license
• Successful completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam
• Successful completion of Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam
• Successful completion of Prime Specialty Exam

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine series plus booster or documented declination.
  • MMR (proof of immunity via vaccination or titer).
  • Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination).
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
  • Varicella immunity (vaccination or titer).
  • Tdap vaccine (declination may not be accepted in some states).
  • Tuberculosis test within one year of start date.
• Annual respirator fit test (3M 1860(s) or 3M 9205+ masks accepted).
• Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
• National criminal background check within one year of start date.
• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start.
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
• Completion of workplace violence prevention training.
• Submission of a valid driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
• Completion of agency attestation and exclusion list (SAM/EPLS) search.
• Signed current job description (within the past year).
• Submission of an up-to-date resume and two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor).

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
