Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• Mix of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts
• Some weekend shifts may be required

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Must be able to circulate independently
• Must be able to take call as required
• Must include an unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license with submission
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility

Assignment Details

• Operating room role
• Floating may occur between two units depending on experience
• Travelers are expected to complete 20–30 hours of standby call in a 4-week period
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Scrubbing is not required
• Travelers will not be placed in the charge nurse/house supervisor role

Clinical Setting

• Level I trauma center
• Cases include orthopedics, neurosurgery, bariatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, and other service lines
• Outpatient cases are primarily done in one of the OR areas

Orientation

• Orientation is provided to both units
• Orientation includes 2–3 shifts

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• Previous permanent staff must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Previous travelers who completed 1 full year there must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Only one position submission is allowed at a time across the system
• Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
• Up to 2 candidates may be submitted per opening
