Location

Lufkin, Texas

Assignment Details

6-week contract
Nights, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Rural hospital
24 beds / 3 trauma bays
Fast track available
Separate triage area; travelers may occasionally do triage
ER holds are intermixed in the ER
In-house security
80–90 patients per day
Ratios: 1:4
Self-scheduling
Every other weekend
Every other holiday
No call or standby
Floating: to units qualified for
Navy scrubs
Unit-specific orientation provided

Required Qualifications

RN license
2 years of ED experience
ACLS
BLS
TNCC
PALS or ENTC
Must know ECG rhythms
Not eligible if full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year

Clinical Setting / Patient Population

Common diagnoses include trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac
