Overview

• 13-week contract in Clarion, Pennsylvania
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Unit: MedSurg
• 39 beds

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• RN
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Floating is limited to areas with medical patients

Unit Details

• Common patient types: Cardiac, Neurology, Post Op Med/Surg
• Heparin is a common titratable drip
• TelePacks are on the department; rhythm interpretation is completed by ICU
• RT manages respiratory needs; there are no ventilators on Med/Surg
• Charge nurse sometimes has an assignment
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: every other holiday

Scheduling Notes

• Requests are accepted
• Shift preferences and block scheduling may be accommodated, but are not guaranteed
• Typically 2 to 3 days off are given when switching from nights back to days
• Downsizing may occur

Dress Code

• Any scrubs are allowed
