ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract in Hawaii

Contract Length

13 weeks

Job Description

Must have an active Hawaii RN license by the start of the assignment. If not currently licensed in Hawaii, must apply immediately upon acceptance.
1 week orientation (up to 40 hours).
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment.
Flexible scheduling: Day or Night shifts assigned per roster period based on staffing needs.
Work schedule after orientation: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (36 hours total) plus 2 twelve-hour call shifts per 4-week roster period.
May float to other critical care and step-down units as needed.
Unit has 11 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1.
Professional dress code: scrubs.
Equipment used includes Meditech.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is required for this position.

It’s always 4 to 1 except hallways you might only have 3. The staff is so kind and welcoming I have nothing bad to say about them. This was my favorite assignment so far
