Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Travel Position

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 (including 3 weekends per 6-week schedule block)

Unit & Patient Care Information

• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Floor Y4
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
• Equipment: Ceiling lifts, Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, Baxter Sigma Spectrum IV Pumps, extensive safe-patient handling equipment
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
• Patient Population: Includes geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, trauma, neuro/brain injuries, complicated surgeries, stroke, encephalopathy
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Must be flexible to float to other units such as CICU, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Emergency Room

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Required Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Trauma and neuro experience
