Job Opportunity: RN - Post Partum/Mom Baby

Unit Information

• Unit: Mother Baby
• Number of Beds: 26
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:3 or 1:4 (not guaranteed)
• Shift Coverage:

  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 7-8 RNs, 1 Lactation Consultant
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 6-7 RNs
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech / CPN

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Shift hours: 7 AM to 7 PM

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Post Partum experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lactation support
• Experience with patient transitions

Typical Procedures and Responsibilities

• Circumcisions
• Educating newborn parents on safety, nurturing, and baby health

• Prior patient care experience is a priority
