Work Schedule

• Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• Float requirements apply (may work across different units)

Unit and Patient Population

• Behavioral health units including adult, pediatric (ages 5-17), and geriatric populations
• Total of 104 beds across five units:

  • 2 adult units (24 beds each)
  • 1 geriatric unit (24 beds)
  • 1 pediatric unit (12 beds)
• Patient-to-nurse ratio approximately 1:8, with lower ratios for pediatric and geriatric patients

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process: Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicate changes in patient clinical condition to physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and coworkers
• Participate in discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
