CST/ORT

Role

Travel CST/ORT assignment in the CVOR unit.

Location

• Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Schedule

• 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Includes call and late stays
• Call requirement: one weekend a month and 2-3 days per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit Details

• CVOR unit
• 3 ORs
• Open Heart equipment
• Level 2 trauma coverage for all vascular and thoracic procedures

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist with 2 years of experience
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
• Experience working with Cardiac patients
• Experience working with Vascular patients
• Experience working with Thoracic patients
• Experience in a hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub Cardiac and Vascular cases
• Experience with Meditech

• CABG
• Valves
• TAVR
• EVAR
• TEVAR
• Carotid endarterectomy
• Fistula creation/interventions
• VATS
• Thoracomy
• Fem-pop bypass
• Angiograms with interventions
• LVAD
• RVAD
• ECMO

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• Time off requests must be included in the contract
• The traveler will be the circulating nurse and the second RN assists anesthesia at the beginning of the case, holds the heart, and is the room extra help
