Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Partum / Mother Baby

Unit and Specialty

• Mother Baby unit
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing with focus on Post Partum care

Shift and Hours

• Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 48 (36 hours available upon request)
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements

Patient Care Details

• Patient ratio: 3 couplets per nurse
• Post-partum patients on magnesium sulfate: 1:1 for first 12 hours, then usually combined with a couplet
• Utilizes nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability
• Coordinates patient care with other departments
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 2 years of Post Partum nursing experience
• Post Partum nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Float to other units as needed
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
• Dress code: Black scrubs
