Work Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Weekends every other week
• No call requirements

Unit Information

• Unit located on the first floor of the main hospital building
• 205 beds
• 35 total staff members
• Day shift staffing includes one charge therapist and five covering ER, ICU, and floors
• Equipment used: PB 980 and 840 ventilators, Bipap V-60, Siemens ABG instruments
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• Permanent positions available on the unit

Typical Procedures

• Ventilator and Bipap management
• Aerosol therapies
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Oxygen therapy

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• NBRC certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• ICU experience
• ER experience
