Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
Job Description
- Work in the Perinatal Center (3rd floor, main building)
- Typical patient load: 10-12 patients per tech per day
- Equipment used: E8 and E10 ultrasound machines
- Electronic Medical Record system: Viewpoint
- Day shift only (no night shifts)
- Team includes 2-3 sonographers, 2 RNs, genetic counselor, registrars, director, and clinical manager
Typical Procedures
- First Trimester scans
- Biophysical Profile (BPP)
- Doppler studies
- Detailed Fetal Anatomy scans
- Complete OB ultrasounds
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) measurements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer, including experience within the last year
- Certification as an ARDMS or ARRT (S)
- OB/GYN specialty certification
- BLS certification
- Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Preferred Qualifications
- Fetal Echo experience
- NTQR certification
