Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts, day or night)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Medical 61625, 6th Floor, Main Hospital
- Number of Beds: 25
- Number of Staff: 65
- Patient Ratios: 6 patients per 1 nurse
- Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends per month
- On Call: None
- EMR System: Epic
- Floating Areas: SPCU, CVSU, Ortho, MOU, Rehab
Required Qualifications
- License: Alaska Registered Nurse License
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg specialty
- Skills:
- Team-focused attitude
- Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments, vital signs, bathing, ambulating, feeding, and activities of daily living
- Charting in Epic
- IV, NG, Foley placement
- Wound care
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Telemetry knowledge
- Chemotherapy certification
