Job Description

  • Work in a 54-bed Emergency Department, a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
  • ED treats over 60,000 patients annually.
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 for critical/trauma patients, 1:3-4 for others.
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
  • Work schedule includes holidays as required and every other weekend.
  • Hours offered: 36 or 48 hours per week.

Requirements

Education

  • Associate degree in nursing.

Certifications (Required)

  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA PALS
  • NIH
  • TNCC
  • SECURE (on site)

Licenses (Required)

  • Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted).
  • NURSYS verification.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience preferred.
  • Will consider 18 months experience under highest professional license with at least 1 year in specialty field.

Additional Information

  • Patient-facing clinical role.
  • EMR system: Meditech.
  • Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
  • Parking available.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks.
