Location: McMinnville, Oregon

  • 60-bed acute-care, full-service facility
  • Accredited by The Joint Commission
  • Certified Chest Pain Center by ACC Accreditation Services
  • 24-hour Emergency Department
  • Patient population includes all types (geriatric, adult, pediatric)
  • Busy ER, outpatient volumes, primary care and OB clinics nearby

Position Details

  • Specialty: Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer (General Sonography)
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Shift: Primarily Sunday, Monday, Tuesday; Days (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm)
    • Some flexibility for 4x10-hour shifts if needed
  • Weekly Hours: 36-40 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend Hours: Approximately 12 hours depending on shift
  • Call Requirements: 1 in 5 weeks rotation covering Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights; additional call available if desired
  • Float Requirements: None, but ability to pick up extra shifts possible

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1+ year in Ultrasound specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
  • Required Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
    • OBMI State License
  • Required Education: State licensure and registry credentials
  • Must Have Skills:
    • General sonography covering OB, small parts, basic procedures, some vascular
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with OB and vascular sonography
  • Personality Fit:
    • Self-directed, team-oriented, positive and hardworking
    • Support coverage during two maternity leaves
    • Welcoming environment with many long-term employees

Work Environment & Equipment

  • Patient Ratios: Typically 12-15 exams per shift
  • Equipment:
    • GE Logiq e10 (2 units)
    • GE Logiq e9 (1 unit)
    • New Mindray ultrasound arriving January 2026
  • EHR Systems: Meditech, Change Healthcare PACS (McKesson)

Dress Code

  • Scrub colors: Any normal colors/patterns acceptable
  • Light blue scrubs provided if candidate does not bring their own
  • Unacceptable attire: open-toed shoes, hoodies, etc.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Additional Notes

  • Orientation is weekly on Mondays
  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered travel
  • The area offers a variety of recreational activities including wine country tours, hiking, fishing, and local cultural experiences
