Position Details

Unit: Transplant Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Solid Organ Transplant
Unit Size: 17 beds
Staffing: 6 RNs and 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) per shift (both day and night)
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4

Contract Length

Duration: 13 weeks

Required Certifications and Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Certification
Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in the specialty

Skills and Qualifications

Must have: BLS, ACLS, time management skills
Preferred: Candidates with additional relevant skills will be prioritized

Typical Procedures on Unit

General surgeries
Kidney transplants
Pre-liver workups

Work Environment

Floating to all acute care areas including medical-surgical, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neurology, and orthopedics
Dress code: Royal Blue Scrubs
EMR system: Meditech
Weekend shifts: 4 per 4-week schedule period

Additional Notes

The unit requires strong time management skills and the ability to work in a specialized transplant care setting
No prior travel experience explicitly required for this role
