Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Shift: Day shift (5 AM – 5 PM) with on-call requirements

Unit Information

Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with 2 heart rooms and a possible 3rd room
Staff includes 4 RNs and 3 Certified Surgical Technologists (CST)
No night shift; on-call required 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month
Patient ratio: 1:1
EMR system: Meditech / CPN
Procedures performed: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR
ECMO program restarting

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Acute care experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

PALS certification
Experience with open heart and cardiovascular procedures
Prior experience with Meditech EMR

Additional Notes

On-call responsibilities include 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month
