Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Emergency Department (ED) specialty for a travel assignment. The position offers varied shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and every other weekend coverage. No call requirements.

Unit Information

• Department: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 26
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (flexible depending on acuity)
• Equipment: GE Monitors, standard ED equipment
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech (experience preferred)
• Patient Population: All ages (geriatric, adult, pediatric)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shift: Varies
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Float Requirements: Like assignment
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color acceptable)

Preferred Attributes

• Team player with a positive and engaged attitude
• Experience with common ED diagnoses such as respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure (CHF), dialysis, and hypertension (HTN)

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available
• Located approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, NC
• Close to major universities and local attractions
