Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week)
Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend and holidays required

Job Summary

Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction, including education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with intubation and managing ventilators
Evaluating patient needs and providing disease-specific education
Collaborating with healthcare team members and patients/caregivers
Documenting patient education clearly
Floating to adult ICU, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floors as needed

Required Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Jersey
NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS
PALS issued by American Heart Association

Experience

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist
