Pathologist Assistant

Location

Schedule

Day shift
Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day
Occasional Saturday coverage may be required

Contract Length

26 weeks

Job Summary

Provides anatomic pathology services under the direction and supervision of a pathologist
Assists with surgical specimen dissection and postmortem examinations

Responsibilities

Prepare, gross describe, and dissect human tissue surgical specimens
Assist with frozen section evaluation
Perform gross examination, tissue selection, cryotomy, and staining for intraoperative evaluation
Prepare and perform human postmortem examinations

Required Qualifications

Pathologists' Assistant (1 year of experience)
Pathologists' Assistant experience within the last year
Pathologist's Assistant - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
Completion of a Pathology Assistance Training Program
