Job Description

The Echo Technologist is responsible for overseeing technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory. Perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing and assist physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams.

Essential Functions

Perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines.
Ensure imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
Document procedures accurately and completely.
Cross-train to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services.

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 3 years of Echo-Vascular Technician experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience as an Echo Technologist.

Education

Associate's Degree in Ultrasound.

Certifications & Licensure

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

Positive attitude and willingness to assess and improve the work environment.
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow.

Note: No prior travel experience is required for this position.
