• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting

Role Details

• Delegates responsibility to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides
• Evaluates patient function using formal and informal testing measures
• Develops a goal-specific treatment regime based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Submits a written treatment regime as part of the physician-authorized plan of treatment and updates the plan of care as needed
• Devises a treatment schedule with frequency and duration to be discussed with the patient, family, or caregiver and coordinated with clinical support staff
• Educates the patient, family, or caregiver regarding pathology or condition, alternatives, prognosis, and rationale for treatment
