Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Atlanta, Georgia
- Weekend nights: Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Float assignment includes ICU areas and may include general care areas if no ICU need
Unit Details
- Pediatric ICU setting with floating to NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU
- Uses servo vents and respiratory therapy support in each ICU
- Typical ICU drips, medications, and pressors
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Pediatric pharmacology competency required for nursing staff
- Competency exam required
- Government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card
- E-Verify or attestation
- Signed confidentiality and security agreement
- 2 clinical references
- Resume/application
- Skills checklist for the applicable unit
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Tdap vaccination required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
- Hepatitis B immunity documentation or declination required
- Flu vaccination required
- Drug screen required, including nicotine/cotinine testing
- Fit mask testing required
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Background check required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training acknowledgment required
