Occupational Therapist — Acute Care Hospital

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in San Leandro, California
  • Adult acute care setting with medically complex patients
  • Schedule: Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu
  • 40 hours per week, 5x8 day shifts
  • Call may be needed
  • Floating within the acute care rehabilitation service may be required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Occupational Therapist (1 year of experience)
  • Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat adult acute care patients
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide interventions to support independence and safety
  • Support discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team
  • Document in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide weekend patient evaluations and treatments as needed
  • Maintain continuity of care during high-volume periods
