Registered Nurse (Cath Lab) - Travel/Contract

Location: Burlingame, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking a Cath Lab Nurse proficient in:

• Diagnostic cath lab procedures
• Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
• Structural heart procedures
• Electrophysiology

Shift:

• 4 shifts of 10 hours each (4 x 10)
• Shift hours: 0900-1730, with variable start times between 0730 - 1000
• Weekend call required

Requirements

• Current California RN License
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab RN
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, sex offender search, FACIS Level 3, and others as required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Adult TDAP within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-Apr) or signed declination
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
• Competency exams as applicable (medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG, etc.)
• Unit-specific skills checklist, renewed annually
• Employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement)

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - verify if required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - verify if required
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) - verify if required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - verify if required
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - verify if required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - verify if required
• IV Certification (if applicable)
• NIH Stroke Certification - verify if required
