Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday - Thursday
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year (1st timers accepted)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• General Skills:

  • MRI Tech skills including Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo imaging
  • Image Post-Processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction)
  • Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) & Perfusion
• Systems Used: Epic, Pyxis, GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba
• Floating: Yes
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (see below)
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

• New Year’s Eve and Day (Dec 31 & Jan 1)
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve and Day

Compliance & Orientation

• Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 hours for 14-week assignment).
• Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit before final approval.

Required Documentation & Health Requirements

• Photo ID: Driver’s License or State ID
• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification and criminal history checks.
• Education Verification: Verification of related degree required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process.
• State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia (if applicable).
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start.
• TB Testing: Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually.
• Immunizations:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Flu vaccine or declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending.
• References: Two clinical references required.
• Skills Checklist: Must be updated within the last 12 months.
• Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process.

Additional Competency Requirements

• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Competency Exams as applicable (e.g., medication test/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG for certain specialties)
