Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
  • On-call: Yes, approximately 6-8 calls per month
  • Holiday Coverage: Possible holiday shifts required
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse
  • Specialty Experience:
    • Must be able to circulate and scrub all services including complex cardiac and thoracic cases
    • Experience with heart and lung transplants required
    • Scrubbing and circulating complex cardiac and thoracic cases highly preferred
  • First-time travelers: Not accepted

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • BLS: American Heart Association (AHA) only
  • ACLS: AHA only (must be current; RQI acceptable)
  • Radiation Badge: Required and provided by the agency for this assignment
  • State RN License: South Carolina RN license required (compact license accepted if valid in SC)
  • NURSYS Verification: Required for all RNs
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with recruiter)

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
  • Ability to circulate and scrub complex cardiac and thoracic cases
  • Experience circulating and scrubbing heart and lung transplant cases
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
  • Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
  • Radiation Badge required for assignment
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Key Requirements and Compliance

    • Criminal, sex offender, and other relevant registries
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Work History Verification: Last 3 clinical employers verified
