CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Harlan, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
• Float required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Kentucky
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Experience with MEDITECH EMR system
• Experience with GE Healthcare systems

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, as applicable
• BLS – AHA only
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (not required for Psych, OR, Rehab, or Allied positions)
• Core Competency Parts I, II, and III
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• National Certification/Verification as applicable
• NURSYS verification prior to start (if applicable)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Annual physical exam or physician note within 1 year prior to start, stating clearance to work without restrictions
• Negative TB test via QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year (T-Spot/PPD NOT accepted)
• Proof of immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination (declination must be within 1 year)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (valid within 10 years; Td not accepted)
• Drug testing within 30 days of start using specified 9-panel bundle (no THC) with expanded opiates and oxycodone
• Fit mask test completed onsite (PAPRs not accommodated; exemptions reviewed onsite)
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept 1 – Mar 31)

Documentation & Compliance

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Completed employment application/resume with education and work history
• Signed and dated specialty job description, renewed annually
• Annual skills checklist
• Various facility-specific forms including employee health attestation, flu exemption forms, fit test policy, and badge instructions
• Background checks including national criminal search, sex offender registry, fugitive database, county searches, and federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification included in background or third-party verification

Additional Notes

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly; start date is the date needed on job
• Assignment confirmation must be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Ratios and schedules may fluctuate based on census and call-ins
• Candidates must not be submitted to more than one job at a time

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with experience in radiology/cardiology settings who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are available for a 13-week travel contract in Kentucky.
