Physical Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Prince Frederick, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00/8:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• Start Date: ASAP
• Patient Load: Average 12-14 patients per day (~60 per week)
• Setting: Orthopedic outpatient with focus on personal injury and workers' compensation cases
• Support: Full support staff including front office and PT aides/techs to assist clinicians
• Orientation: Includes meeting staff, EMR introduction, shadowing treatments, then treating patients starting day 2

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including at least 2 years in orthopedic outpatient settings
• Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury and workers' compensation cases
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Background checks within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches (7 years), nationwide, sex offender, and FACIS Level 1M
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
