ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Beckley, West Virginia

Position Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
• Location: Beckley, West Virginia
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift options

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Annual physical or physician note within 1 year prior to start, stating candidate is clear to work without restrictions
• Immunizations and Testing:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Td not accepted; declinations acceptable if within 1 year)
  • Negative TB test via QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year (T-Spot/PPD not accepted)
  • If positive TB, proof of chest X-ray within last 5 years plus TB questionnaire required
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

    • Measles (Rubeola) – 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer
    • Mumps – 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer
    • Rubella – 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer
    • Varicella – 2 vaccinations or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B – Series, titer, or declination (declination must be within 1 year)
• Drug Testing:

  • Must be completed within 30 days prior to start using a 9-panel drug screen (no THC) with expanded opiates and oxycodone
  • Annual update required
• Fit Mask Test:

  • Completed onsite; PAPRs not accommodated if facial hair present
  • Medical or religious exemptions allowed but must be submitted on day one
• Flu Vaccination:

  • Required during flu season (9/1–3/31) unless approved medical or religious exemption is granted through the facility’s employee health process
• Latex Allergy:

  • Facility accommodates latex allergies but requires notification prior to start

Documentation and Compliance

• Identification: Unexpired government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
• Employment Application: Complete application/resume with education and work history
• Job Description: Signed and dated specialty job description, renewed annually
• State-Specific Checks:

  • West Virginia APS/CPS search results (annual update required)
• Employee Health Attestation: Must be completed prior to compliance deadline, including uploading required health documentation (TB results, OSHA respirator evaluation, flu vaccine/exemption) with proof screenshots
