Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Bellevue, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 07:15)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Must have 3+ years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Experience required with:

  • Magnesium drips
  • Cesarean sections (C-sections)
  • Floating to Post-Partum unit as needed
• Must have EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• No block scheduling; must be flexible with schedule.
• Return to Office (RTO) requirement: 5 days or less.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Experience with Magnesium drips.
• Experience with Cesarean sections (C-sections).
• Experience floating to the Post-Partum unit and Post-Partum nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.

Health and Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID).
• Social Security number required (actual card not required).
• Background check covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including:

  • SSN trace
  • County, state, federal, nationwide, and national sex offender searches
  • International searches if applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Immunizations and titers required or documentation of declination:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap highly preferred)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (QGold, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella – titer or 2 vaccines; booster if titers negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B – titer, proof of series, or facility-specific declination
  • Varicella – titer or 2 vaccines; booster if titers negative/equivocal
  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (year-round requirement)
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests acceptable).

Documentation and Compliance

• Must complete facility-specific modules promptly after orientation.
• Required to review and sign:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Applicant Disclosure Statement
  • Confidentiality Policy
  • Internet Usage Agreement
  • Appearance and Dress Code guidelines
• CMS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) training required annually.
• Employment application copy required.
• At least two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including evaluation of clinical competency and reliability; references must be from a manager, supervisor, or charge RN.
• Washington state-specific background checks including courts search.

Additional Notes

• Start dates available: June 15 and June 29.
• Must be able to work night shifts and be flexible with scheduling.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery nurses seeking a travel contract with a focus on maternal and neonatal care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
