Job Description

• Position on a Medical/Surgical unit.
• Interview required prior to placement.
• Must be able to float to other units as needed.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
• Solid black scrubs required.
• No block schedule requests accepted.
• Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at submission, with a maximum of 7 days allowed off. No RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Resume must include recent (within last 12 months) experience with Epic electronic health record system and phlebotomy.

Required Qualifications

• Accredited nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• Current RN license valid in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only; AHA RQI is acceptable.
• Must provide and carry a valid government-issued photo ID.
• Must pass unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists as required.
• Must complete required health screenings and immunizations, including but not limited to:

  • Fit test for N95 respirators (3M 1870+ N95, Medline Cone Small, 3M 1860 Reg & Small ONLY), updated annually.
  • Pre-employment physical within one year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Immunizations or titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Influenza (seasonal requirement October-April), Tdap (recommended).
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with no declinations accepted.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Must complete background checks and verifications including:

  • FCRA-compliant 7-year criminal background check.
  • OIG, EPLS, and education verifications.
  • Social Security card or number verification.
• Must complete unit-specific competency exams and core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) annually.
• Must submit a completed RN submission packet with signatures from candidate and agency.
