RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Shift: Day shift, 07:00–19:30
Schedule: 36 hours/week; Monday–Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Overview

• Registered RN responsible for taking a patient assignment
• Provide wound care per order
• Document according to hospital policy
• Perform admissions and discharges according to orders
• Use critical thinking skills
• Work on a 3-lead telemetry unit
• Competency will be completed during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; temporary licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to complete the required competency exam with a score of at least 80%

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Flu vaccine documentation or approved declination process
• 2-step TB test or QuantiFERON/T-SPOT with negative results
• MMR immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation or declination option
• Varicella immunity documentation
• Tdap within the last 10 years
• Fit test within 1 year of start
• COVID-19 vaccine is preferred, not required

Additional Notes

• Must complete required safety and compliance training modules before clearance
• If declining flu vaccination, masking is required while working
• Ohio residents may need a national database criminal background check for fingerprint requirements
