Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

• Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Nights, 4x12 hours, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• Floating within scope and between like units is required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Only 4 days of requested time off are allowed
• On-call is not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
• Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Military Training Network

Clinical Experience

• Must be comfortable working with adults and children in ICU
• Must be comfortable working with pediatric and adult patients

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
• Pending license is not accepted
• Return travelers must be gone for 1 year before returning
• The system has a 2-contract limit; after extending once, the traveler must be gone for 6 months before returning
