Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract
Location
- Columbus, Ohio
Schedule
- Night shift
- 3x12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 professional references

- Background check within 90 days of start
- Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start
- License verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Annual ethics and compliance policy acknowledgement
- Annual fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate
- Annual confidential fraud, waste, and abuse reporting mechanism form
- Annual dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgement
- Annual background acknowledgement form for subcontractor candidates
- Annual physical exam documentation
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Tdap documentation
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or vaccination documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- ACLS
- BLS
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start and annually
- Unit-specific competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Annual stroke education and BEFAST stroke continuing education if assigned to a stroke-capable area
- NIH Stroke Certification if required by unit
- Variable schedule attestation if assigned to applicable OR cost centers
Notes
- Parking is available through monthly or annual permit options, with shuttle access for some lots.
- Fit testing may be required depending on unit and assignment type.
- COVID vaccination is not required but is recommended.
