Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN assignment in Los Angeles, California
• 26 weeks
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
• 36 hours per week
• Must be able to float to Med-Surg and other Tele units
• Unit details: average census 36, 36 rooms/beds, 1:4 ratio
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call requirement
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• Patient population: Adolescents to Geriatrics

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Telemetry experience (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Post Cardiac Angiogram care
• Post MI care
• Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization care
• Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery care
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care and management
• Experience with Epic

• Central line care/management
• PICC line management
• Starting IVs
• Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Manage vasoactive drips without titration
• Care of chronic/long-term ventilated patient
• Chest tubes: Emerson/Pleuravac
• External CPAP/BIPAP
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Nasal Cannula
• Non-invasive airway management
• Oxygen face masks
• Tracheostomy management
