Medical Surgical RN Travel Contract

Location

Roanoke, Virginia

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours
19:00 to 7:00
36 hours per week

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Peripheral line care and management
Non-invasive airway management
Rehabilitation experience

Preferred Qualifications

CRRN
CPI Blue Cert
EPIC experience

Job Details

Inpatient Rehab/Med Surg assignment
Adult Med Surg unit with no telemetry
Patient ratio may be 1:6 and can flex to 1:7
Common diagnoses include SCVA, SCI, TBI, amputee, and multi-trauma
May be required to float to other Med Surg units if needed

Scheduling Expectations

May require every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
All requested time off and scheduling requests must be included with submission
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates are not accepted under the radius rule
