Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (4x12 hours, 18:45–07:15)
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: Yes
Scheduling Type: Self-scheduled
Unit Orientation: 24 hours
Scrubs: Navy blue or white


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience (minimum 2 years), including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Colostomy/ileostomy management and care
  • Pre/Post Hemodialysis management
  • Central line blood draws, phlebotomy, and PICC line management
  • Chest tubes management including Emerson and PleurEvac systems
  • BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
