- 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- Post anesthesia recovery unit
- 20 beds
- Patient population includes all ages and all surgical cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 depending on acuity, and 1:1 for kids and ICU
- Unit support includes a unit secretary and 2 PCTs
- 36 hours of weekend call required per month
- No blocked scheduling
- Up to 5 days of requested time off approved, excluding holidays, submitted upfront at time of submission
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

- Operating room case volume is 30–60 cases per day
