Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Oakland, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a cardiac catheterization procedural suite.
- Experience required in:
- Diagnostic Cath lab
- EP Lab
- Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Stents
- Must have experience covering STEMI calls, vascular IR cases, and EP procedures.
- Call requirements:
- 8-14 days of call per month
- Weekends on call 4-6 times per month, including Friday through Monday

Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- Fluoroscopy California License
- ARRT-CI (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Cardiovascular Interventional)
- State License (Radiology / Cardiology) - current and unencumbered
- Tech Certification (ARRT) for Radiology
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
Required Skills & Experience
- Diagnostic Cath lab procedures
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab procedures
- Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures
- Stent placement
- STEMI call coverage
- Vascular IR cases
- EP procedures
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (photo ID, color)
- Background Check within 90 days prior to start, including:
- SSN Trace
- 7-year Nationwide, County, and National Criminal searches
- FACIS Level 3
- National Sex Offender Registry
- OIG Sanction Search
- EPLS/GSA/SAM verification
- Education Verification (highest level completed, no pending)
- Physical Exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD/DO/PA/NP/APRN confirming good health and ability to perform duties
- Fit Mask test within 90 days of start (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) proof of vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B positive titer or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (masking required during flu season)
- Drug Testing: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start (specific analytes required)
- Color Blind Exam within 90 days of start (Ishihara test accepted)
- Employment History Verification for past 3 years
- References as per agency requirements
- Current Resume including last 7 years of employment
Additional Notes
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests may be required depending on placement.
- Badge photo (passport style, no filters) required for facility ID.
- New Employee Orientation and facility-specific competencies must be completed by the first day of work.
- If absent from the facility for 6 months or more, new competencies and orientation are required.
- Call schedule includes multiple weekend days and extended call coverage.
