Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: X-Ray Tech / Diagnostic Technologist
• Coverage: Night shift

  • Monday-Friday: 9:30pm - 6:00am
  • OR Monday-Thursday: 7:30pm - 6:00am
• Patient Types: Inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department studies
• Procedures: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis
• Equipment Experience Preferred: GE, Siemens, Samsung

Required Skills & Experience

• General Skills Required: PACS and portable X-ray machines
• Preferred Skills: C-Arms
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Maryland Board of Physicians license
• Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years (based on work history verification and references)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications may be required depending on unit assignment
• Tech Certification Verification (national and state licenses) required prior to start
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams and other competency exams required within 3 years of start date
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for RNs in cardiac-related units (not applicable here but noted for reference)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past year, with annual updates
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - documentation of 2 vaccines or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella - documentation of 2 vaccines or positive titer
• Drug screening within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Background & Documentation

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification of highest degree required by position
• Employment history verification: minimum 2 years of experience in the past 7 years, including at least 1 travel assignment or 1 month per diem for travel contracts
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience in the last 3 years
• Valid state driver's license if driving is an essential job function

Additional Notes

• Facility-specific orientation modules must be completed prior to start
• Annual acknowledgment of safety manual required
• Photo for badge must meet specified criteria (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
