Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Radiation Therapist)
  • Shift: 4x10 hour days (07:00 - 17:30), Monday to Friday
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Floating: No floating between units required
  • Charting System: Epic/Aria
  • Patient Population: Adult Acute Care, all cancer diagnoses
  • Equipment/Techniques: Truebeam, Hyperarc, Identify, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, DIBH, Orfit setup equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
  • Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Radiation Therapist
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience working with adult patients
  • Experience in an acute care setting
  • Truebeam experience

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
  • Valid state licensure for Radiation Therapist in Colorado
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
  • Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific mask types required)
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • TDAP within 10 years or signed declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
    • COVID vaccination proof or signed declination
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Color Blindness: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
  • Annual competencies and exams including medication/pharmacology, core competencies, OSHA, and others as applicable

Additional Notes

  • Maximum of 10 Return to Office (RTO) days allowed during contract
  • RTO not allowed during specific blackout periods in 2026
  • Candidates must provide 2 professional references from the last 2 years, including one from the last year
  • Employment history verification for the last 3 years required with explanations for any gaps over 30 days
  • Candidates with employment gaps over 15 days considered new and must meet full requirements

This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists with adult acute care and Truebeam experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in Colorado.
