Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Position in Endoscopy / GI Lab
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• No call, no weekends
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs color: Blue

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, with endoscopy experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Harassment Prevention Training Certificate

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific approved mask models required)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination accepted with annual renewal)
  • Negative TB test (QGold only) or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines; low titers require 2 boosters
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, declination, or completed vaccine series
  • Varicella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines; low titers require 2 boosters
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31) or signed declination
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination required (vaccine must be administered on or after 9/12/2023; initial series not required)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific onboarding documents including:

  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • HIPAA training and acknowledgment
  • Abuse reporting acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)
  • Annual OSHA and other education modules
  • Photo for badge (high-quality, recent, color headshot) within 72 hours of signing
  • Access request forms and other facility access documentation within 72 hours of signing
• Completion of competency checklists post-start (facility tracked)
• Proof of completion certificates for required online training modules (e.g., C-ICARE, Code of Conduct, Radiation Awareness, Safe Patient Handling)

Additional Information

• First-time travel nurses are eligible if experience requirements are met
• No prior travel experience required
• No weekend or on-call shifts
• Work schedule is 4x10 hour days with various days of the week
