Occupational Therapist Job Summary
Location
- Grand Island, Nebraska
Schedule
- Day shift
- 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, or a shifted schedule of Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Setting
- Skilled nursing facility and home health
- Reporting location: Grand Island
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions and assess client needs
- Develop and carry out therapy plans
- Document observations and services provided
- Notify physicians of changes and process orders
- Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Train clients, families, and staff on interventions and equipment
- Supervise therapy assistants as allowed by federal and state regulations
- Supervise assigned employees
Required Qualifications
- Occupational therapy certification for the state of practice
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience in a rehabilitation or geriatrics setting
- Completion of an accredited speech/language pathology program preferred
Additional Details
- New graduates are accepted
- Supervises 2 COTAs
- Therapy supervisor onsite
- Productivity expectations: 82% in skilled nursing and 90% in home health
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Uses Net Health and HCHB
- Travel may vary based on business need
